IMPORTANT INSTRUCTION FOR FIRST ROUND CHOICE FILLING (MD/MS/DIPLOMA Course)

  • After giving allotment to all reserved category candidates to reserved seats, vacant reserved category seats are transferable to unreserved category seats. This process will be done at the time of allotment of the 3rd Round. E.g., from NRI quota to Management quota and Management quota to Government quota and from SC, ST, SEBC, EWS to General (Open) category, from In-service/PwD Quota to respective category.

  • અનામત કેટેગરીના તમામ ઉમેદવારોને અનામત બેઠકો પર પ્રવેશ આપ્યા પછી, અનામત કેટેગરીની ખાલી રહેતી બેઠકો બિન અનામત શ્રેણીની બેઠકોમાં ટ્રાન્સફર કરવાપાત્ર હોય છે. આ પ્રક્રિયા ત્રીજા રાઉન્ડ ના અલોટમેન્ટ વખતે કરવામાં આવશે. દા.ત. NRI કવોટા થી Management ક્વોટા તથા Management ક્વોટા થી ગવર્મેન્ટ ક્વોટા તથા SC, ST, SEBC, EWS થી General (Open) કેટેગરી અને In-service/PwD ક્વોટાથી જે તે કેટેગરીમાં ટ્રાન્સફર થશે.

  • All candidates are requested to follow the choice filling of counselling as per his/her desire with/without considering the seat matrix available on website

    • Vacant NRI seats will be converted to Management seats

    • Vacant Management seats will be converted to Government seats

    • Vacant Institutional seats (Open/SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) will be converted to respective CATEGORY of State seats (Open/SC/ST/SEBC/EWS).

    • Vacant Reserved Category State seats (SC/ST/SEBC/EWS) will be converted to OPEN State seats

    • Vacant In-service/PwD seats will be converted to State seats in respective category

    • Above procedure will be followed during the allotment process of third round.


  • Note:
    1. Reservation for In-service candidate of Government of Gujarat:- Ten percent (10%) of Government quota seats in Postgraduate subjects of MD/MS courses in Government Medical Colleges, DNB courses in Government District Hospitals and DNB courses in GMERS Medical Colleges in (1) Pediatrics, (2) TB & Chest, (3) Obstetrics & Gynecology, (4) Preventive & Community Medicine, (5) Orthopedics, (6) General Surgery, (7) General Medicine, (8) Anesthesiology, (9) Radiology, (10) Pathology subjects, shall be reserved in each category for In-service doctors of Gujarat State.

    2. Reservation for Disabled Persons: Five percent of the available seats in each category in Government Colleges and Grant-in-aid colleges or Institutes shall be reserved, for disabled candidates of the respective categories laid down in the Rights of persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.

  • The merit list for for Postgraduate courses (MD/MS/DIPLOMA) for the academic year 2026-27 has been published today by the Medical Admission Committee as follows. Candidates who have applied for PwD Quota and NRI Quota, the verification of these candidates is going on. Hence PwD Quota and NRI Quota students’ merit of general category as well as PwD Category/ NRI Category will be declared in due course of time.

Important Note: Applicants are informed that from the First Round of counselling onwards, document verification at the Help Centre will be carried out only against original documents. DigiLocker documents and colour photocopies/printouts will not be accepted for verification. Candidates must carry original documents along with one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the Help Centre. Applications/candidates failing to produce original documents will not be permitted to proceed with document verification. Candidates are advised to keep all original certificates and documents ready in advance to avoid inconvenience during the verification process.
